If you move far enough away from toad after talking to him and then cancel his text box, it will disappear as normal. But not everything is back to normal. If you re enter the area toad was in, his text box will magically reappear. Funnily enough, you can actually walk freely during his new textbox. You can repeat unloading toad and cancelling his textbox for an infinite amount of textboxes. If you cancel it while he is on screen, it will go away and not come back.
Sorry for not uploading more, I was focusing on finals for most of the past month.
