In this video I'm talking about the magic of the Resophonic guitar.

The Resonator was created to increase the volume of the acoustic guitar so It could compete with brass and reed instruments back in the 1920's.

It produces sound through the metal cone inside the guitar which is receiving vibrations from the strings through the bridge.

At first I didn't like the sound of the resonator, I thought it was harsh and metallic sounding. It wasn't until I had played one when I realised the beauty of these guitars.
