This one's a little different to my usual stuff. I'd like to share with you some of the struggles I've had being a parent and a musician.
When my son was born in 2017 it was the most amazing time of my life, but no one had told me how hard it would be being a touring musician with a child.
It really hit me hard and after a very successful tour in the Netherlands I realised that I didn't want to go on tour as much any more.
When Covid hit I decided to throw myself into doing more music online and building my community that way. I've been really enjoying it and have been getting the same feeling of creativity and community as I did when being on tour.
Nothing can replace live shows and I still do live gigs from time to time but this way I get to be at home with my son a lot more and that's enough for me.
