The Macintosh IIsi was launched as a lower-cost alternative in the Macintosh II series. To keep costs down, Apple used more electrolytic capacitors, and the surface-mount electrolytic capacitors from the early 90s are past their expected lifetime. In addition, despite the power supply being made by Sony, the capacitors in it are also known to leak (though I can't help think "cost tweaking" by Apple led Sony to use lower grade capacitors).

I want to finish the IIsigh (my 25MHz Macintosh IIsi) by giving the floppy drive a tune-up. This is the logical conclusion to the work I did during Dave's stream on Sunday. youtube.com/live/eRuJ2lDGukI?si=6XD7GxHpp-J8kUw6

Will I successfully tune-up one of the IIsi floppy drives? Will I find a good floppy disk in my box? Will I find my hot glue gun so I can tack the two bodge wires? You'll have to watch to find out!
