Last time I had COMPUTER on the bench, I concluded that I must replace sockets... probably all of them. For you see, sockets should not be green, but here we are.
Green might be a good color for a talking, singing frog, but green is a bad color for anything that is electrically conductive. Add to that a loss of springiness on some of the contacts, and you have a recipe for poor contact that contact cleaner alone can't resolve.
Will I be able to replace enough sockets in one night to make a difference? Will I cause trace damage? Will the old sockets break out into song? You'll have to watch to find out!

I apologize in advance if this stream has issues. This will be the second stream using my Z440 workstation and Digigram VX222e audio card, and I realized last stream that the VX222e doesn't have a built-in preamp (that's a feature of the more expensive VX222e-MIC version). I have one inbound, but it's not scheduled to arrive before this stream.
