If you’ve ever used Windows 3.1, and gone into the Control Panel to change the system colors, you might have a theme called “Hot Dog Stand”. Well, my Performa 6118CD has a hardware fault that makes it look like I enabled theme across the entire computer, including startup and down.
This issue could be one or more of my adapters, but it could also be the logic board (specifically the HDI-45 connector). Let’s see if we can narrow down, and even potentially repair the issue!
Will I find a bad adapter or cable causing the whole issue? Will I need to attempt to reflow the HDI-45 connector on the logic board? Will the issue still persist at the end of stream? You’ll have to watch to find out!
