Track 108: Kaine / Family
Meanwhile, a girl by the name of Kaine is being lectured about PUPPY her unbecoming behavior at a social gathering by her grandmother, Kali. Kali berates her granddaughter not only for her unacceptable behavior, but also because her choice in dogs is insufficient. Kaine tries to explain herself -- and her dog -- but Kali silences her sharply.
After Kali heads indoors, Kaine's grandfather approaches her to reassure the girl that Kali didn't mean to be so brutal. Kali suffers from PTSD from the time she fought against Legion and killed the Red Eyes, and pleads with Kaine to understand that her grandmother doesn't mean to hurt her. Kaine does understand, but is still hurt by the treatment. To try and cheer her up, her grandfather mentions that Kali probably likes the puppy and just doesn't know how to show it, and suggests that he and Kaine build it a little dog house to welcome it into the family.
(This is a drama where Kaine gets a puppy.)
