Jitto Jupo, the Volkaran scholar-musician, holds multiple advanced degrees in xeno-anthropology and conflict studies from the University of Bar’leth. Known for blending heavy music with historical storytelling, he turns old legends and forgotten battles into roaring ballad anthems.
Operating out of a modest studio buried deep in the underlevels of Metellos, Jitto is fluent in both Galactic Basic and Huttese, often releasing his songs in multiple languages to reach audiences across the Core and Outer Rim alike.
"The Legend of Harrtac and Ssarak" draws from what many consider a frontier children’s tale: the story of two ancient rivals — Harrtac, a Wookiee warrior, and Ssarak, a Trandoshan hunter — who met in single combat somewhere beyond the galactic edge. The myth presents them as elemental forces of fury and vengeance, locked in a savage duel that shattered the ground and ended in mutual ruin.
Jitto’s verses elevate the story, pushing it from brutal brawling into near-cosmic scale. The lyrics never attempt to modernize or soften the violence — they revel in the raw clash of fur and scale, of instinct and power.
While the song gained a life of its own across the galaxy, Jitto also published a holopaper on the subject — “Rooted in Blood: Proto-Myth and Tribal Memory in the Harrtac-Ssarak Cycle” — arguing that the story may, in fact, be a garbled account of a real historical encounter.
