VTS Coach and singer Emily has spent years mastering musical theatre — but when she sings pop, that polished, precise tone can sound *too* perfect. In this coaching session, we focused on helping her sound authentically pop: casual, conversational, and effortless.

We used “lazy tongue” exercises, speech-level practice, and vowel tweaks to smooth her tone and reduce over-enunciation. By the end, Emily’s delivery was less theatre-bright and more laid-back pop — without losing her vocal personality.
