Let's review each episode of the TV show The Venture Bros, the greatest adult animated series ever made!

Transcript:
In The Invisible Hand of Fate, Billy takes a nasty fall and suddenly recalls the past that I guess he forgot. Which we get to see before it's erased again. Yeah, it's another flashback episode, almost uncomfortably soon after the last one, where we see the lives of several show characters about 15-20 years before the present. Mostly Billy and Pete, who were a team even back then, as Pete was originally a quiz show host and Billy the reigning champion. ...Until it's publicly revealed Pete's been feeding Billy the answers and they're both kicked off for cheating. After that, it's one big search for where they now belong. Which will lead them to Venture Industries, the OSI, and Phantom Limb's classroom. Among other places that, honestly, don't really matter. Yeah, I'm going to level with you, I'm not that big on this episode. I know I keep saying I love it when they flesh out the universe, but in this case, I didn't feel the need to have any of these questions answered. Like why Billy wears an eyepatch and has a mechanical hand. I was just fine with figuring he always looked like that. Or that he's actually behind the Phantom Limb's phantom limbs. Again, I was on board with nobody knowing that. In fact, it was funnier when everyone was just guessing. Sorry, but this episode tells me nothing that I wanted to know. Or anything that I didn't already know or that carries over to future episodes in a meaningful way. And yet that's all this episode is. Watching Billy getting shoved into situations he doesn't want to be in, and every once in a while doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point to go "I know who that is! I know who they're referencing!" Heck, the flashback seems to introduce a couple continuity problems. Like how Pete and Billy are presented as geniuses in the show, but this reveals they're actually not. ...Until they need to be? I don't know how they're trying to present these two. Also, if Doctor Girlfriend knew Phantom Limb as her college professor, why did she act like she'd only just met him in the flashback a couple episodes ago? The humor's also not much to laugh at. Ok, seeing how Billy lost his eye and hand, while pointless, is pretty funny. As well as how Phantom Limb's real name is seriously Fantomas. But the best joke is probably this sequence with something called the nozzle. Where they spend a lot of time building up that it's going to do something. ...And then it doesn't, so that's some good troll humor. But besides that, the episode is reliant on just seeing past versions of these characters as entertaining. Oh, and there's a long sequence referencing the Village People. Where the joke is that they're gay. Did you know the Village People are gay? They're gay, everyone. Laugh now please. There's also a bit where Pete and Billy have been forced into the seedy world of underground trivia competitions. Which I could see someone finding funny, but my brain just instantly turned off when they introduced this concept. It makes seeing the characters from The Wizard playing video games against adults for money sound plausible. My absolute favorite part of the episode is this more graphic parody of GI Joe they use to advertise the OSI agency. Sure it doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the episode. ...But it doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the episode. I don't want to call this episode bad, but it's completely unnecessary. It adds nothing besides more filler, and only gives us information that we either already knew or didn't need to know. It's fine for a watchthrough, but gives no reason to come back. Though Race Bannon makes another appearance. With a name change for rights reasons.
