We spent three beautiful days at Kholey Dai, a harvest festival in Parengtar village celebrating age-old traditions of collective farming, food, music, and community. Created to revive fading rural practices and reconnect young people to their roots, the festival brings together cultures from across the Eastern Himalayas.
From powerful cultural performances and hands-on workshops to unforgettable local food, home-brewed drinks, and live music, every part of Kholey Dai felt intentional and deeply inclusive. The festival is also proudly zero waste, rooted in sustainability and respect for the land.
