This week I'm exploring the Hemlock Woolly Adelgids that are devastating the hemlocks in the eastern US. What are we doing to help save them? It seems the answer lies in a few different approaches: predator introductions, saving the genes, regrowing the species, and using some chemical applications.
Science and the practice of conservation biology are so interesting! I'm happy I can share this piece.
