This week we followed Christina Zdenek of the Death Adder Project as she studied the elusive (and deadly) Common Death Adder (Acanthophis antarcticus).

If I had to choose a venomous snake to be around for an extended period of time, I think I'd go with this little snake. It's very docile, and, despite the fact that it's so deadly, it's not inclined to bite unless disturbed.

Christina wants to thank all the residents on the island for making this work possible. Also, Shawn - thanks so much for letting us use your vehicle, residents, and local knowledge throughout the filming. Thanks to all those we interviewed - those that made the cut and those that didn't. You were all so welcoming!

Thanks also to:
- QPWS; rangers on Magnetic Island
- My supervisor, Dr Bryan Fry
- volunteers on the project
- Death Adder Project sponsor: Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia (www.RADOA.com.au)
- residents of Magnetic Island for their support

A big thanks to all current and future patrons who are helping fund this science communication outreach via Patreon: bit.ly/2Sfmkph
