James Gunn's DCU has recently announced the casting for Hal Jordan and John Stewart as Green Lanterns. It seems that John Stewart might be the primary Green Lantern alongside the Justice League going forward, due to Kyle Chandler being cast as Hal Jordan. Justice League Unlimited seems to be a source of inspiration, featuring a team comprised of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart as Green Lantern, Wally West as The Flash, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter. A small group of people seem to have an issue with the casting news due to Aaron Pierre's skin complexion, while disregarding the other actors who were also considered. Cyborg in the DCEU 's Zack Snyder's Justice League was played by Ray Fisher, a light-skinned actor to which nobody had any problems with.
