Seagulls Gather | The Gutter and the Grave by Ed McBain Book Review @SeagullsGather | Uploaded December 2022 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
My review of Ed McBain's Crime/Noir/Thriller The Gutter and the Grave.
This 1958 book was originally released as 'I’m Cannon – for hire' and attributed to Curt Cannon.
Very much in the vein of Hammett and Chandler, the Gutter and the Grave follows down on his luck, ex-private investigator Matt Cordell as he is embroiled in a murder case. Battling his own demons and those with their own agenda, can Cordell solve the case before suspicion turns on him?
