We’re kicking off Opening Weekend at The Great Escape in Queensbury, NY and spending the night at the Great Escape Lodge with access to the massive White Water Bay indoor waterpark — the perfect family return to our old home park after 7 years away.
This park has always been special to us. When we lived in New York, The Great Escape was our home park for years, and coming back as a family brings back a flood of memories. In this vlog, we revisit our favorite attractions, explore what’s new for 2026, and see just how much the park has changed since our last visit as a family nearly 7 years ago.
Our adventure doesn’t end at park closing. We’re staying at the Great Escape Lodge, right across the street, and diving into White Water Bay, the huge 38,000 sq ft indoor waterpark with slides, a lazy river, splash zones, and year‑round tropical vibes. It’s the perfect way to extend opening weekend into a full family getaway.
