*The Great Composers: Vivaldi*

This film details the events and influences that shaped the development of the man. Combined with stunning period images, paintings and feature film inserts, the programme explores the life and times of Vivaldi against a background of orchestral performance of the highlights of his most popular works.  Played by 'The Moscow Symphony Orchestra and conducted by, Constantine Krimets a graduate of both the Kiev State Conservatory and also the Moscow Conservatory featuring among others Jaroslav krasnikov (Violin) and Pavel Laverenkov (Flute).  Applicable for Key Stages 3/4 and A Level. Extracts from: Concerto for Two Mandolins, Bassoon Concerto RV472, Oboe Concerto RV461, Piccolo Concerto RV445, and The Four Seasons.
