*The Great Composers: Tchaikovsky*

This film details the events and influences that shaped the development of the man. Combined with stunning period images, paintings and feature film inserts, the programme explores the life and times of Tchaikovsky against a background of orchestral performance of the highlights of his most popular works. Played by 'The Moscow Symphony Orchestra' and conducted by, Constantine Krimets a graduate of both the Kiev State Conservatory and also the Moscow Conservatory and featuring Arkedii Sevidov (Piano) and the brass band of the Bolshoi Ballet. Music included: Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Symphony Rathetique, Dance of the Reed Flutes, 1812 Overture, and Piano Concerto No1.
