Let's talk about the Golden Child. These label can refer to the fortunate in academics, or a doted-upon child of parents with narcissistic personality disorder. I include real life examples for both contexts.

And yes, there is some saltiness from me during the academic portion. I was definitely NOT the golden child in my advisor's lab.
