Tokyo is full of geek stores and geek areas. North of Shinjuku you find Ikebukuro, with the iconic mall Sunshin City. I decided to pay it a visit and see what I can find!

Some of the places I explored include the Bandai Namco Gashapon store, with tons of crane games, arcade games, and...well...of course, gashapons! I also paid a visit to the Capcom gashapon store in Ikebukuro, to try my luck at a few machines.
I was also temped by an otter kindergarden, a fennec fox cafe, a minipig cafe, and many other animal cafes - but in the end I decided to skip those. There are simply too many bad rumors about animals being mistreated.
But most importantly, I explored all the geek stores I could find in Sunshine City. And there was tons to see there! A Pokemon Center, a Pokemon Lab, a Pikachu cafe, a Marvel store, Namjatown - and of course the Bandai Namco Cross Store, filled with tons of merchandise from tons of different franchises!
