Japan Centre is a chain of stores and restaurants in the UK, delivering authentic Japanese products to the UK as well as the rest of Europe since 1976. I decided to visit the store in Leicester Square, and see what you can find here!
In this video I have a look at the main store in the basement, as well as the Mochi Bar on street level, and a quick look at the adjacent Japanese restaurant as well. The main focus is downstairs, though - this is where you find a huge assortment of Japanese products of all kinds.
There's a lot of Japanese food to be found at the Japan Centre, of course, but you can also find books, sake, manga, cookware, various toys and gadgets, and a lot more. It's of course a perfect place to try some authentic sushi as well as other Japenese foods.
Interestingly enough, Japan Centre only sold martial arts equipment when they opened the first store in London. They soon expanded with a supermarket and a curry bar in 1984, though, and they also opened up more Japan Centre stores in multiple locations.
If you're in London and you feel like geeking out about Japanese products - make sure you visit Japan Centre!
