"What Jesus is wanting us to know in John 14 and John 15 is that we are held. That we are protected. That we are in the center of relationship with the Lord. That you can't come out of this—it doesn't matter what's gonna happen or what goes on around—that you are secure. My life in Christ, Christ's life in me, our lives together in God—in God's kingdom—that this is where we reside. This is what Jesus is trying to say when he says, "I'm the vine. You're the branches. Remain in me." And the Father is the gardener of it all."
