things that haven’t gone the way you’d hoped,
seasons where you don’t feel like you’re ‘winning at life’ or progressing through in ways you think you should be,
times where you compare your circumstances with those of your peers and feel behind,
or feel like you’re failing,
or just seem lost in it all
– in those moments when what you hear are voices of shame, and embarrassment, or ridicule or condemnation – that’s not God’s voice.
It wasn’t for Gideon, and it’s not for you."
