We all have starting points in gaming… even if you eventually realised it wasn’t for you. 🥲 The first console in the house. The first game you couldn’t put down. The first time a world felt bigger than the screen in front of you.
For me it started with a Sega Master System my parents bought me, getting lost in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Then I was on my dad’s PC playing things like DOOM, Command & Conquer, and Theme Hospital. I still remember playing Street Fighter II on an arcade machine at my local youth centre too. But it was games like Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Final Fantasy VII that really made me believe in the power of gaming. Characters, worlds, and stories I genuinely fell in love with.
I’m joined by Maria (Marignetic), an awesome gaming streamer and a proper lover of games, and we’re going to trade stories and talk about the titles that shaped our taste, our imagination, and the way we see games as a medium.
