Moving into the metaverse doesn't just mean putting on a headset for a virtual reality. Tom Henkenius has invited a panel of experts to explore how different companies - from CVS to DTC fashion brands - are entering the space. The panel also partners with Reed Smith to explore its recent report on the legal challenges within the metaverse.

Just added to our panel is Caroline McCauley, director of marketing at Obsess. An AR company that’s built virtual retail experiences for companies including Ralph Lauren, Fendi and NARS Cosmetics.

Guest Speakers:

Caroline McCauley (Obsess): Caroline McCauley is the Director of Marketing at Obsess, an experiential ecommerce platform trusted by the largest retail brands from Ralph Lauren to General Mills. Obsess serves as a retailer's entry point into the metaverse. With advanced studies in Fashion Studies from Parsons, The New School of Design, she began her marketing career as a content strategist, writer, and researcher.

Eryn Terry (Reed Smith): Eryn is a member of On-Chain: Reed Smith’s Crypto & Digital Assets Group. She has experience advising clients on crypto-related asset reviews. Prior to joining Reed Smith, Eryn attended Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was the Community Service Chair for Vanderbilt’s Black Law Students’ Association. Eryn also served as a member of Vanderbilt’s Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law (JETLaw). She was later appointed as Vanderbilt’s first-ever Diversity & Inclusion Editor for a law school journal.

Kat Kershner (Reed Smith): Kat works in trademark law, including prosecution, enforcement, and litigation, bringing a holistic perspective to solving her clients’ business problems. Kat counsels on strategy, prosecution, and enforcement efforts for global trademark portfolios, as well as handling disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and litigating in Federal Court. Kat obtained her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A. from Stanford University. She was selected through peer review for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© "Ones to Watch" list for Intellectual Property Law, 2021-2022.

Keri Bruce (Reed Smith): Keri is a Partner in the Entertainment and Media Industry Group. Keri represents national and multi-national clients and trade organizations in matters relating to advertising, marketing, media, promotions, trade practices, intellectual property and technology.
