My journey to today includes retail sales/management, visual merchandising, sourcing/production, buying, apparel design, materials/textile development, technical design, licensing, product development and product compliance. I have extensive experience in denim wash development, performance materials development, licensed product development and domestic & international product compliance. Additionally, I've travelled extensively and consistently across the globe for this industry for 22 years. I love exploring and understanding other cultures both in business and as and adventurer! In my current role, I oversee 4 very different departments: Technical Design, Materials Development, Product Development (Licensed Brands) and Product Safety & Compliance. Zumiez is currently in 8 countries with 850+ stores and expanding!

About Your Host, Tom Henkenius: Tom is an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, director of FIDM’s Bachelor of Arts degree in digital marketing and principal partner at Thunder Communications, a content production company. Tom spent 10 years as a television news journalist after graduating from USC Annenberg. Tom holds a Master's of Science from USC's Iovine and Young Academy in Integrated Design, Business and Technology.
