In May 2022, Loraine Goetsch acquired the Pakistani “jingle truck” created for the 2002 Smithsonian Folklife Festival’s Silk Road program by Haider Ali and Jamil Uddin. For most of the past twenty years, the truck has been exposed to the elements at a Smithsonian storage facility in Maryland. Thanks to Goetsch, the truck will have a new life in New Jersey.
