Hello from the Smithsonian Folklife Festival!
Our annual free Festival celebrates cultural traditions and will take place on the National Mall from June 26 to July 1.
We have a very special program this year. You don’t want to miss it!
The theme of this year’s Festival is “Indigenous Voices of the Americas,” celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the National Museum of the American Indian. The Festival will feature Indigenous artists, chefs, musicians, dancers, athletes, and storytellers, coming from across the United States and nine other countries, to share multi-generational traditions as well as new, innovative approaches to cultural expression.
Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with featured concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
ASL interpretation and live real-time captioning will be available throughout the Festival, as well as a variety of other accessibility services.
If you are hungry, the Festival concessions stand features flavorful entrees and snacks, gelato, and summery beverages--including vegetarian- and kid-friendly options.
