Nice art direction undone by jank, frame drops and combat with no feel.
The Foglands is a steampunk-western roguelike shooter on Meta Quest with a clear Borderlands aesthetic and some decent ideas. Doc Neale spent an hour with it and came out frustrated: frame-rate issues, mid-room loading hitches, abysmal fire textures, empty-feeling gunplay with no haptic or audio punch, fiddly holstering and a general lack of direction. Omar bailed after 30 minutes. If the PC build led development, the Quest port feels downgraded. Plenty of better options on the store — save your money.
