This conversation in a Flooded Forest takes place in Avon Valley, the first woodland The Woodland Trust bought. This marks another exciting chapter in this woodland’s journey after it was acquired over 50 years ago.

Natural Flood Management is a term used to describe slowing the flow of water by using timber and tree planting to help retain water on the land. Not only can this reduce flooding downstream, but it also makes temperate rainforests more resilient to hotter temperatures in summer and creates a more vibrant habitat for insects, birds, and fish.
