This is the first part of an Ordona Province let's play on the latest version released of the mod Hyrule Total War: Classic Ultimate, where the goal is to show off the Ordona Province as a faction in the mod in a couple of videos, but I might continue to play as them if I enjoy it and want to myself- or if it's popular enough. The mod is a modification of the computer/PC game Medieval II: Total War - Kingdoms, and it's a submod of the mod Hyrule: Total War version 3.7.2 released in December 2014 by the original creator of the mod TheUndyingNephalim/IceCreamMan - the mod expands on the original mod, whilst being a total overhaul mod of Medieval 2 turning Medieval 2 into The Legend of Zelda.
Hyrule is the world and/or Kingdom in the Zelda universe where Princess Zelda is the leader, Link is the hero and Ganon/Ganondorf is the main villain.
So I want to make overview videos for every main faction in the mod, and so the Ordona Province is first.
I'm playing for 5 hours, 27 minutes and there will be a 2nd part for sure.
The Ordona Province is a self-ruling Province of the Kingdom of Hyrule, they're led by an elected Mayor who rules over a council of Mayors - and whilst officially being under the crown of Princess Zelda, they're mostly left to their own devices - being a land of farmers and peasants - they do breed the best cavalry in the mod.
Sadly a bug or glitch was causing the creature-fix not to function despite running the 2020-release of the M2TWEOP-tool, and so I had to exit the game and replace the files of the launcher/tool with exact copies from a mod where they worked, so in the next video the creature-fix will work - it's a fix preventing the giant heroes and units such as giant spiders from crashing the mod. For some reason it wasn't working so I crashed in two or three battles, at least once against a giant, but running the M2TWEOP-tool of 2020 with the creature-fix selected if it's not working seems to also gamelock the mod in battle randomly. I recall in 2024 also having the same issue in HTW 4.7 until I replaced the files, and when playing battles without giants it would randomly crash or gamelock then crash - with this said only with the creature-fix working will the battles be stable.

![Warcraft: Total War - Scarlet Crusade vs The Scourge | Alpha Roster Edition -Unreleased Mod Showcase
[NOTE] This mod is currently unreleased and under development.
Welcome back to Warcraft: Total War! In this 23-minute custom battle, the Scarlet Crusade clashes with the relentless Scourge in a showcase of the brand-new, unreleased Alpha Roster Edition.
This project is a heavily modified version of the Classic Edition, effectively demaking the rosters to bring back the nostalgic, fan-made alpha models from the original 2017 Custom Battle Alpha. While the Classic Edition features a fully playable campaign, this new edition integrates these classic alpha models into the campaign framework for the very first time!
What’s new in this showcase:
🛡️ The Scarlet Crusade:
Alpha Models: The Militia, Priests of the Holy Light, and Human Mages now utilize the classic, fan-made alpha models instead of standard World of Warcraft Classic models.
Armor Upgrade: The Human Footmen have received a brand-new armor upgrade featuring a badass winged helmet, utilizing the captains model. (The spellcasters and militia models were implemented back in October, but this is their first video debut alongside the recent armor upgrade!).
🧟 The Scourge:
Features the complete demo-roster finalized last October. This includes a mix of modern models alongside older WC3-style Ymirjar Champions, Varguls, Vrykul, Banshees, Acolytes, Undead Trolls, fan-made skeletons, Abominations, and zombies.
Development Update:
While the units are now fully coded and working flawlessly in Custom Battles as of yesterday, the campaign implementation is still a work in progress. This is the first of several Custom Battle showcases recorded recently. Interestingly, most of the modding over the past two weeks focused on other factions (Lordaeron, Stormwind, Theramore) since the Scarlet Crusade and Stromgarde didnt have original alpha models to pull from. As a result, this first video showcases the faction with the fewest changes—saving the massive overhauls for upcoming videos!
If you enjoyed this deep dive into Warcraft total war history, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates on the Alpha Roster Edition!
