The Fabulous Thunderbirds from Austin, Texas, has made a new work, Struck Down, Grammy nomination 2025 for the best traditional blues album. Formed in 1974, Kim Wilson, singer and harmonica player, is the only musician present from the first line-up, nevertheless the band, in which also played Jimmie Vaughan and Duke Robillard, still shows the old glossy polish. Struck down is a record full of interesting ideas and rich in great guests like Billy Gibbons, Bonnie Raitt, Mick Fleetwood, Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo'.
