The erasure of Asian beauty and Asian beauty standards has come to my attention with the rise of eGirls and "the anime esthetic"(AKA: the desire to look half Asian and half white), as well as seeing so many white models do well in East Asia. In my video I delve into why this phenomenon exists, why it's harmful, and what we can do about it.
TL;DW: As Asian Americans we need to embrace our natural beauty because no one else is going to do that for us. Whether it be your flatter nose, bigger face, smaller eyes, try to love yourself the best you can. Yeah it's hard, but we can't let the white people tell us what we should and shouldn't look like.
