This is the sort of arrangement I have always wanted to make ever since starting to branch out as a pianist. I've covered The Contortionist on bass before, but never had the guts to try and dig in to adapting any of their work to the keyboard until now. This is intended as sort of a 'serious' contemporary classical approach to an arrangement that can stand on its own as a solo piano piece, and might be my favorite thing I've made. The video, on the other hand, was one of the more frustrating things I've had to assemble because of a couple very dumb moves I made, but that's a story for another time. Hope you enjoy my tribute to one of the most beautiful albums of the 2010s.
