The Conduit Proved the Wii Could Handle Real FPS Games
At a time when many gamers dismissed the Wii as a casual console, High Voltage Software set out to prove that Nintendo’s motion-controlled system could deliver a modern FPS experience.
With impressive graphics, customizable controls, online multiplayer, and a sci-fi story packed with conspiracies, aliens, and secret organizations, The Conduit offered something completely different from the platform’s usual lineup.
Then came Conduit 2, which expanded the formula with bigger levels, crazier weapons, improved multiplayer, and even more over-the-top sci-fi action.
The series may not have reached the heights of Halo or Call of Duty, but it proved that the Wii was capable of far more than many people gave it credit for.
Looking back, The Conduit remains one of the most underrated franchises of the Wii era—and we’d love to see it make a comeback someday. #nintendo #gaming #retrogaming #wii #nostalgia
