In this session, researchers discuss the implementation of blockchain and other cryptographic technology for securely sharing data and maintaining privacy.
We will feature work that focuses on:
1. A DeepSEA-IBM that project aims to enable the formal verification of smart contracts. Examines how Formal Verification methods can be applied to verify security and accuracy, while limiting changes in existing coding practices
2. Developing efficient solutions to address several challenges associated with low-storage and low-communication blockchains for wireless IoT systems. Research a novel way to reduce blockchain nodes memory requirements using modern error correcting codes. This project will also work to develop efficient algorithms to allocate coded blocks to different nodes to balance the storage requirement and network load.
3. Cryptographic tools for secure data sharing and collaboration aimed at COVID-19 data analysis, focused on collaborative secure computation and privacy-preserving machine learning.
Speakers:
Tal Malkin
Head of the Cryptography Lab, Associate Professor of Computer Science
Columbia Engineering
Xiaodong Wang
Professor of Electrical Engineering
