Reagan and Gorbachev held a number of summits between 1985-1988 including the Geneva Summit 1985, the Reykjavik Summit 1986, the Washington Summit 1987 and the Moscow Summit 1988. In the Washington Summit, they were successful in signing the INF Treaty. Nevertheless, in the other summits the main sticking point was Reagan's Strategic Defensive Initiative.
