I've wanted to try this fruit forever and FINALLY got the chance with Tommy at Rastafari Herbal Gardens in Westmoreland, Jamaica! After a successful hike we picked a whole heap of black sapote, and although they weren't quite ripe luckily Tommy still had some frozen ones in the kitchen. This is an insanely unique fruit, with a crazy texture and flavour, and Tommy blends it up in a beautiful way with fresh coconut, bullfrog banana, black strap molasses, and even some special Swiss spice blend. An incredible mix of flavours in a superblended smoothie, you can't beat it! It's not native to Jamaica, originally from Mexico and Central America, but it certain thrives here on the island of wood and water.
