My review of the novel The Case of the Desperate Desperados by Caroline Lawrence. This is the first novel in the PK Pinkerton Mysteries series that began in 2011. It follows Pinky Pinkerton who survives the murder of her parents, discovers she is the owner of an enormous silver mine and must navigate the the city of Virginia and all the people looking to murder or cheat her out of her inheritance. Notably for themes of questioning gender and representing a protagonist with Autism.
