Jimmy Doherty, Kate Quilton and Matt Tebbutt are on a global mission to uncover the amazing secrets behind the food on our supermarket shelves.
Tonight, Kate travels to Ghana in Africa, to take a close look at pineapples, and discovers the fruit contains a special enzyme that attacks and destroys the dead skin cells in your mouth. Kate learns scientists have recently found a ground-breaking new use for this enzyme; treating the victims of burns. Back in the UK, Kate meets a former-soldier whose horrific injuries are being healed with pineapple extract at the Queen Victoria Hospital in West Sussex.
Meanwhile, Jimmy wants to uncover the secret of how they put the bubbles in some of our favourite chocolate bars, and investigates whether the bubbles actually improve the 'mouth feel' of the choc.
And Matt asks if there's any truth in the old wives tale that we should never eat mussels when there's not an 'R' in the month.
