Muddy Waters, whose birth name was McKinley Morganfield, recorded early versions of "You're Gonna Miss Me" as part of his "plantation recordings." These were field recordings made by Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress in 1941 and 1942. The songs from these sessions were later compiled and reissued, often under titles like The Complete Plantation Recordings.
Muddy Waters's "You're Gonna Miss Me" was originally released as a single on Aristocrat Records in 1949. The song was the A-side, with "Mean Red Spider" as the B-side. (The Aristocrat Of Records – 1307)
It's important to note that this was a studio recording, which was a different version from the very early field recordings he made for the Library of Congress in 1941 and 1942. The 1949 single release marked its official introduction to the public as a commercial record and solidified its place in his early Chicago blues catalog.

And I Love You So is a song written by folk singer and guitarist Don McLean and released on his 1970 debut album, Tapestry.
Its chorus features an unusual rhyming scheme for a popular song: ABBA versus the usual AB(C or A)B.
The song was the B-side to McLeans debut single Castles in the Air, released in January 1971.
In 1973, And I Love You So was released as an A-side with If We Try as its B-side on United Artists Records.

And I Love You So was a 1973 hit for singer Perry Como on his RCA Victor album of the same name, And I Love You So, reaching No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It would be the last of his many popular recordings, dating back to 1943, to reach the top 40. It also spent one week at No. 1 on the Easy Listening chart. It reached No. 2 in South Africa and No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart on RCA Records and remained on the chart for 35 weeks (the longest of his hits in the UK).

Background and composition
In 1954, when Fly Me to the Moon was first presented to the public, Bart Howard had been pursuing a career in music for over 20 years.
He played piano to accompany cabaret singers, but also wrote songs with Cole Porter, his idol, in mind.
In the book Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret James Gavin noted that Howard wrote the song in response to his publishers plea for a simpler song: why did he have to write such grandiloquent lyrics? In Other Words talked about the verbosity of poets who use many words to say a simple thing; hold my hand, Kiss me. In response, Howard wrote a cabaret ballad. A publisher tried to make him change some words from fly me to the Moon to take me to the Moon, but Howard refused. Many years later Howard commented that ... it took me 20 years to find out how to write a song in 20 minutes.
He used his position as a piano accompanist and presenter at the Blue Angel cabaret venue to promote the song, and it was soon introduced in cabaret performances by Felicia Sanders.
