This video shows LiDAR imagery of the Breaks Slide (Schultz and Southworth, 1989) and presents a simple analog model showing translational slide movement.
The translational slide is compared to a Toreva-block slide, which moves on a curved failure surface and is commonly seen on cliff lines in the western US.
