I've finally finished the Boss Rush. Wasn't level 21 or 26 like I'd hoped, but this still took a long time.
Overall, the rush was mostly tedious. There's a few tough bosses, but the main challenge was putting up with everything for so long. A 40+ minute run leaves many chances for bad luck or me screwing up.
The first four bosses: I had no real problems with any of them. They’re really more of a precursor to the tougher bosses.
Sir Maximuses: The first issue. I'd rank this as the second hardest fight after Slime Girls, because three strong targets is a lot. Can't Catch Me is essential with how much they do in a turn.
Sweetheart: After Life Jam Guy, Sweetheart’s not too bad. Can’t Catch Me right away reduces the chance that someone goes down early, and after debuffs she goes down easily.
Mr. Jawsum: Luckily Jawsum gives me a free turn, so setup is easier than with most bosses. But I still need to be careful, because I don't guarantee a win after the Gator Guys go down. Still very possible though.
Pluto: Honestly, Pluto's not much different from the first few bosses, he’s just a bit tougher. The one potential issue is his out of turn attack after expanding, but he's not a big sweat otherwise.
Slime Girls: Unlike Pluto, here we have a doozy. The Slime Girls' chainsaw attack can be a big problem, both early on and after swapping heart and juice. I also have to play around their ultimate attack by taking them out the same turn they reach 25% HP.
Humphrey: The final and longest boss is..pretty simple. The first phase is perfect for setup, and the second isn't a step up. The third phase has potential to overwhelm the party, but I just race for damage and hope for the best.
