I flew my Blue Wolf Dog from Florida to the UK on a private charter flight for dogs called K9 Jets. Why? Because the UK does not permit dogs to fly in cabin alongside their owners to England. I did not want my dog to fly in the hold by cargo due to many horror stories of dogs dying in cargo. This episode follows River as he is flown to the UK and all the trials and tribulations that flying a dog carries, such as getting the vaccinations, getting the Health Certificate, authenticating the Health Certificate with the USDA Office. Its a very stressful procedure and I was really stressed when Jupiter Animal Center sent off my Rabies form with several glaring errors on it meaning my health certificate was delayed up until 1 hour before my flight. Thankfully Adam Golder of K9 Jets saved the day by giving me great advice on re-submitting the health certificate after we discovered the errors and by hiring a courier to collect my health certificate within an hour of my flight. We appreciate that Jupiter Animal Center apologized for the errors they made. Luckily for them it got sorted as I would have lost $17,000 which I would have needed to recover from them in damages.
Anyway this episode is a great guide on what to expect when flying your dog from abroad to home and what to expect when flying cargo versus semi private dog charter.
