He's France's best loved French Mastiff and Lionel Messi's dog of choice - The Dogue de Bordeaux - targeted by Hitler in World War 2 as he guarded his French owners so well, German soldiers were ordered to kill them all. This left this breed almost extinct but he recovered with a vengeance and he's back and one of the most popular guard dogs out there.
