The Vikings didn’t just fear wolves… they built their mythology around them. 🐺

In Norse legend there were five great wolves.

Fenrir — the monstrous wolf destined to break his chains and devour Odin at Ragnarök.

Geri and Freki — the loyal wolves that sat beside Odin in Valhalla, symbols of loyalty and the wild power he commanded.

And Sköll and Hati — the cosmic wolves that chase the sun and moon across the sky, destined to finally catch them at the end of the world.

To the Vikings, wolves were not villains.
They were power, fate, and the untamed spirit of nature itself.
