In a fast-growing state and a thriving economy, TxDOT is meeting the moment.
Thanks to Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Legislature, TxDOT has received record funding to help improve safety and provide congestion relief across the state. Under the direction of Governor Abbott, TxDOT started Texas Clear Lanes in 2015, providing congestion relief where it’s needed most.
Texas Clear Lanes is now an 80-billion-dollar program including projects that are complete, under construction or planned.
These projects are already paying dividends with reduced traffic delays and more benefits are coming. This video lays out projects completed, ongoing and planned in cities across the state.
