The Cam Powered Ball Bouncer

I really wanted to capture the hypnotic, satisfying motion of marbles bouncing together and turn it into a completely mechanical, looping contraption. The biggest challenge? Waiting for the marbles to finish bouncing before the mechanism kicks into action. Using cams, levers, gears, and an oversized scissor lift, this machine carefully times each step—waiting, scooping, lifting, and releasing—so the marbles can continuously bounce and cycle forever. It’s precise, mesmerizing, and just a little bit over-engineered—exactly how I like it!
