The cheat code analogue mastering engineers use that costs nothing to try.
Most people think you need a rack of outboard gear to get analogue vibe on a master. You don't. Just running the signal out of your DAW, through a cable, and back in through your converter adds something you can't get in the box.
Even with no outboard in the chain. Just a clean low noise XLR loop. It adds a bit of vibe, a bit of analogue feel, that the digital path on its own can't give you.
I normally run mine through outboard kit, but the loop on its own still does something. The better the converter, the better the effect.
