Hello 2021! Tonight we only have the Pleiades, the 7 Sisters (M45) plus a Green Meteor, after weeks of depressing gray skies over here in NE Ohio. There’s not much to see but still I wanted to post something so I could say Hello to you all. :)
As a note - there were around 20-30 satellites of different sizes that I had filmed streaking around the eastern and SE sky that night on January 6th, 2021, but this object that flew overtop of the cluster appeared differently to those and was captured at 6:38pm. I had blinked and missed it when out filming. It doesn't seem to have the tail of a meteor but also didn't appear to be a satellite. I did check the SkySafari Pro app for satellites in that area, going second by second, but none flew in front of the Pleiades according to their database. So whatever it was, it was cool to have captured. :)
